Cozumel CME Retreat – April 18–25, 2026
Overview
Escape to the tropical paradise of Cozumel, where culture, relaxation, and adventure blend seamlessly, and earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits. Nestled in the turquoise waters of the Caribbean just off Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, Cozumel offers a rejuvenating experience for travelers seeking sun-soaked beaches, rich history, and vibrant local life.
Relaxation & Culture First
Spend your days unwinding on sugary white beaches under swaying palm trees, soaking in the warm sun and gentle ocean breezes. - San Gervasio Ruins – A sacred Mayan site dedicated to the goddess Ixchel.
- Chichen Itza – One of the Seven Wonders of the World, perfect for a day trip.
- Cenotes – Jungle-covered sinkholes offering a mystical glimpse into Mayan geology and spirituality.
Scuba Diving – Optional Adventure
For those seeking underwater excitement, Cozumel is a diver’s dream. Optional scuba excursions offer access to the Mesoamerican Reef, the second-largest barrier reef in the world. Hello, I'm Curtis! I am an Administrative Director with CoxHealth with over 15 years in healthcare, 10 of those at CoxHealth. I am also a Dive Pro and Assistant Instructor with Diventures and have been diving since 2017. I have traveled to lots of exciting places including Cozumel (Mexico), Roatan (Honduras), Belize, Jamaica, and the Red Sea (Egypt). Having the opportunity to lead a CME trip combines two of my passions, healthcare and diving; while creating relationships and professional networks that last beyond the training room and dive boat. If you dive, Cozumel is a fantastic experience, suitable for all skill levels, with some of the best diving in the world. If you do NOT dive, Fiesta Americana is an all-inclusive resort with lots of relaxation opportunities, land and water activities, and dining options. If you don’t dive now, and want to, let me know … we can take care of that too!
