Cuban Visa Information
All US citizens are required to have a tourist visa to travel to Cuba. You can purchase your visa at the airport when you check in for your flight to Cuba. If you choose to purchase your visa at the airport at the departure gate to Cuba, the attendant will ask you if you already have your tourist visa. Depending on the airline, she will either sell you a visa right there at the check-in desk, or she will direct you to purchase it at the departure gate of your flight. The airline staff checks each person before boarding the plane to see if they have their visa-it is not possible to board the plane without the visa. You can pay for the visa with a credit card.
Important Note for Travelers: Support for the Cuban People Travel to Cuba
Custom Latin Travel works within the confines of the US Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control’s requirements that “Support for the Cuban People” programs promote independent activity intended to strengthen civil society. As such, each day of your trip wil include a full-time schedule of activities that (a) enhance contact with the Cuban people, support civil society in Cuba, or promote the Cuban people's independence from Cuban authorities; and (b) will result in meaningful interaction with individuals in Cuba. Your itinerary is meant to provide a glimpse into the types of activities in which you will be participating while in Cuba, but the details are subject to change. If a “Support for the Cuban People” activity is changed, it will be replaced with an activity that is similar in nature.
