Diving on Saba
Saba plunges below the sea as steeply as it rises above. From shallow patch reefs to deep underwater seamounts, the Unspoiled Queen offers sites suitable for any diver’s level of experience.Unusual and exciting sightings are always possible in Saba’s waters, including frequent shark encounters.
Past volcanic activity created spectacular formations and structures such as underwater lava flows and hot springs. The reefs are populated with schools of tropical fish and healthy coral, while sheer, close-to-shore walls are covered with sponges of all sizes.

Rising straight up from the abyssal depths, this rugged, volcanic island is like a piece of the Pacific teleported to the Caribbean. With a quaint, European charm above the waterline and pristine diving below, Saba calls itself “The Unspoiled Queen.” Healthy reefs with incredible visibility and marine life-covered pinnacles are all protected by Saba Marine Park.
On land, the Saba Conservation Foundation protects the unspoiled wilderness. As you’d expect from a volcanic island, underwater structures and seamounts offer amazing views.
Complemented by shallow patch reefs, Saba has a nice mix of dives ranging from exhilarating drifts over “bottomless” drop-offs to mellow dives on sites full of juvenile fish and interesting invertebrates.

The Dives That Made Saba Famous.
Ancient volcanic forces created one of the Caribbean's most spectacular underwater landscapes. From towering seamounts and dramatic walls to thriving coral reefs and volcanic lava formations, every corner of Saba offers a distinctly different diving experience.
Small Island, Big Heart
Our greatest asset isn't found underwater. It's the people. Friendly faces, welcoming communities, and genuine island hospitality make visitors feel at home from the moment they arrive.
Uncrowded by Design
Saba has chosen a different path. There are no large resorts, no cruise ship crowds, and no busy dive boats competing for space. The result is a quieter, more personal experience both above and below the surface.
World-Famous Pinnacles
Volcanic origins created dramatic underwater pinnacles unlike anything else in the Caribbean. These seamounts rise from the deep and deliver encounters that divers remember for years.
Tent Reef
Something different on every dive.
A diverse mix of coral gardens, mini walls, canyons, swim-throughs, and dramatic drop-offs sits just minutes from Fort Bay Harbor.
Ladder Bay
History meets volcanic geology.
Explore lava formations, underwater hot springs, coral-covered boulders, resting turtles, and some of the best macro life in the Caribbean.
Wells Bay
Classic Caribbean reef diving.
Healthy coral reefs, Diamond Rock, Man O' War Shoals, turtles, reef sharks, and long relaxing dives create spectacular scenery above and below.
Windwardside
A completely different side of Saba.
White sand, thriving hard corals, and Saba's only true coral reefs create a vibrant underwater landscape unlike anywhere else around the island.
